Meet the team
Pete Szegedi
Controls Team Lead – Calgary
Pete oversees controls support in Southern Alberta, focusing on specifications, controls design, quotations, training, and technical education. He works closely with engineers, distributors, contractors, and end users to ensure projects begin with the right systems and the knowledge needed for success.
🥳 Outside of work, Pete enjoys spending time with his kids and making the most of every opportunity together.
Juan Hertado
Controls Technical Sales & Support
Juan specializes in commissioning, troubleshooting, and DMX controls throughout Southern Alberta. He also leads DMX controls design, provides on-site training for clients and end users, and delivers ongoing technical support long after projects are complete.
His favourite controller is the Pharos LPC, and one of the best parts of his job is exploring the province while supporting projects across Southern Alberta.
🎪When he’s not helping customers, Juan enjoys circus arts, including juggling, stilt walking, and even breathing fire!
Nicole Olson Grant-Suttie
Controls Technical Sales & Support
Nicole transforms engineering intent into complete lighting controls designs. From reviewing project specifications to developing detailed design packages, she helps ensure every controls system is thoughtfully planned before it reaches the field. She describes every project as a puzzle waiting to be solved.
When it comes to architectural lighting, some of her favourite products include the Vibia Plusminus, Array, and Knit collections.
🎨Outside of her role, Nicole is an accomplished printmaker and is actively involved in the local arts community, serving on the board of directors for the Alberta Craft Council.
